Balkan & Greece Front

The Balkan & Greece Front during World War II saw fierce fighting as Axis forces invaded Greece and Yugoslavia in 1940–1941. Allied troops, including British and Commonwealth units, resisted invasions, but mountainous terrain and rapid German advances challenged defenses. The campaign delayed Axis plans and demonstrated strategic importance of the region.
